Q&A with Wichita Wests Kiari Albright – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by When Pigs Fly

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

To finish the year off strong and start on with the beginning of my life.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Going on special trips with my family.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

Mrs. Robinson because she makes sure I am always on my toes and get stuff done because she wants to see me succeed.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Practicing with the seniors while I was a freshman during basketball season, they were always role models to me.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Tyairra and Samiaya because they helped me up when I felt like I couldn’t go anymore.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

Being a role model to the younger ones who are coming in shows how dedicated I am to the sport.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

I would love to go to Miami, Florida, with my mother and sister. It just always feels like a new beginning and takes my mind away from stress.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

I would spend it on children who need food and shelter because they don’t deserve to go through anything like that. I would also spend some on a mental hospital for children because I know how it feels to not be able to live a normal life without wild thoughts just always there.
