We caught up with Wichita East bowler Emma Sells to discuss how her year is going.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goal for this year is to work hard to complete high school with good grades and make it to college. Working hard is not just a goal to complete high school it is a goal for sports and in my personal life as well.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I have had in the last year is making new friends and doing sports or other activities with the people I care about.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher from any grade would be my third-grade teacher because she helped me through tough times. My third-grade teacher is the of who I am and what I want to do as a career after high school.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is getting people out of their shells when they first join the team and make improvements myself each year.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that left the biggest impression on me is Bella. She made the biggest impression on me because she is such a good player but a quiet person, I thought that she would not talk to anyone but throughout the season Bella started to become really known in the team.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on this team is the laughs that we shared with each other and with the coaches we have.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could pick any place for a summer vacation, I would go to Colorado because of the beautiful scenery that they have and the activities they have down in Colorado. The people I would go with are my friends and family because they make everything fun and make it a different experience.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I was given $500 and I had to spend it in the next 24 hours I would spend it on my parents and help them out in any way they need, but I would also use it for school and pay for things that I or children need for school at any age.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
A club that I participate in with the school is called educators rising. The reason I participate in this club is that it is for young adults who want to be educators or something along that career path.
