In a recent interview with VYPE Wichita South Coach Wells shared “What I enjoy most about this team is what I have always loved about coaching: seeing players grow into new roles as leaders and players as they learn from those that came before them. It is a great cycle to get to repeat year after year.”
The teams goals for this year are simple, Wells told VYPE “We felt like we were playing our best football at the end of last season so we want to continue that trend early. We have a tough early schedule but we expect to see improvement.”
Wells also said of the team “what has impressed me the most about this group is their resilience. They have persevered through a lot on and off the field and show up every day ready to work.”
Together the team has made many memories. Notable among them is when the “players competed in teams this past spring in a variety of activities. There were tests of strength, speed, and skill and they came to football weights fired up for the next competition.”
Off the turf the Titans football players “get a lot of compliments for their hard work and it lets the community see what great kids we have here.”
