In a recent interview with VYPE Wichita South athlete Jonovan Howard said “I want to commit to college for basketball this year, take 1st in the city league this season, and finish my senior year out with a 4.0 for both semesters”.
Along the way, Howard has had many great moments although his favorite has been when he “scored my first varsity points as a Freshman for McCutcheon High School, against Clinton Prairie High School in Indiana”.
Although Howard shared “The most fun I’ve had in the last year is when I went to Oklahoma with a few childhood teammates and we finished out 4-1 at a local tournament they had”.
Away from the team, Howard is “a part of JAG (Jobs for American Graduates), DECA club for Wichita South High School, along with Rise Up for Youth”. He also told VYPE “My church (Mt Gilead) recently started giving out lunches to the homeless once a month and I help prepare and hand them out”.
