Jillian Hutchinson has made a name for herself at Wichita East, and she doesn’t plan on slowing down for her senior golf season. Hutchinson’s biggest goal is to let loose and enjoy her final year golfing.
“This being my senior season and not playing on in college, my goal this season I have mainly been focused on is simply having fun,” Hutchinson said. “One of the biggest goals though was to break 100. Last year I had shot an even 100 at the North Invite and I beat myself up about it thinking how if I could have played just one hole better I could have done it. But this year I left the negative energy from last year and I went into the North Invite with a new mindset of just having fun.”
The numbers of the East golf team are large this season, and Hutchinson is beyond excited to see a good program continue to grow.
“One of the best things about my senior season so far has been how big of a team East has,” Hutchinson said. “This year we have the biggest golf team that I have ever been a part of and that has led me to become great friends with many teammates.”
While playing golf at the next level is not in the cards for Hutchinson, she does hope to continue playing for fun in the future while also pursuing a career in Real Estate.
“I know that I want to go to an out of state college hopefully in Texas or California where I plan to go into a career of real estate,” Hutchinson said. “I also hope to keep playing golf throughout my life while I do not plan on playing for college.”
