Wichita Southeast boys soccer athlete Kenda Shalingi told VYPE in a recent interview “my favorite part about being on this team it’s how far we have come. We keep getting better and better every year”. Something Shaliingi has been working on personally as well as he shared the goals he has had for himself this season have been to “help the team to achieve and compete in the next level and also to win trophies”.
“Being part of the team and winning games as a team was the most fun I have had in the last year” said Shalingi.
However, Shalingi also expressed that his favorite athletic experience of all “was when we won our first game in the playoffs in my sophomore year”. Shalingi also met his favorite teacher during his Sophomore year. Saying “my favorite teacher is Mr. Driskill he used to be my history teacher from 9-10 grade. He is my favorite teacher because I can come and talk to him about things going on in school or out of school. He is also nice and funny and if I didn’t understand what was going on in class he make sure that I understand”.
Away from school Shalingi participates in “sporting Wichita 05. I play there because I want to take game to the next level and have more opportunities”.
