Wichita West boys basketball player spoke with VYPE to discuss his life.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goal this year is to be first-team all-city and to play at Wichita State in March.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the last year is playing AAU ball and traveling every weekend just to play basketball.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher is probably my 9th grade English teacher Ms. Manns she helped me a lot through school, especially during COVID.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is scoring 34 points against East High. The atmosphere of the game was so hype and it was for a playoff seed.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
My favorite part of being on this team is being the leader and having a good relationship with all my teammates.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could go anywhere for a summer vacation I would go to California and bring my family.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I was given $500 I’d probably buy a car.
