East High bowler Ethan Cook spoke to VYPE during an interview.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goal for this year is to all east make state and get my bowling average up.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My first year I did baseball we came undefeated and we were so dominant that year that the organization didn’t do a tournament until we left.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
There wasn’t just one teammate that left a big impression on me those two people were Josh Cline and Lazaro Guardado why I think this is because Josh taught me a lot to do with bowling and how to get better while Lazaro taught me how to be mentally tough and not let you emotions get to you.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on this team is that everyone treats each other like family.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
My sport fully taught me how to be patient and that not every good thing will have a good outcome.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
The best advice I had was from my dad he said “The more you work on your mental game the better you get”.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
The person that inspires me is my Papa he was the one to show me bowling and I still haven’t beaten him yet but I will soon.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
I just want to say Thank you to my parents, my grandparents, my best friend Chance Miller, and my girlfriend Emma Sells, if it wasn’t for those people I would not be in the places I am today so truly thank you.
