Wichita Southeast Senior Malashia Walker wants to finish the year off “with a bang.” For Walker, that means continuing to be involved in her community through her participation in “Sisterhood”, “TWE”, her church’s “youth ministry”, and her occasional volunteering at her grandfather’s nursing home.
Of course, of all the things she does, she’s had the most fun “going to track meets and getting to know everyone and cheering at football and basketball games.”
Walker might just owe some of her dedication to the people she named as her favorite teachers Ms. Powell and Mrs.K. She says “They pushed me to do the best I could and made sure I stayed out of the way and focused on school and sports.”
