Wichita Northwest Volleyball Coach Emily Hiebert told VYPE “We have a lot of new faces on the team this year but the girls have been working hard over the summer” highlighting their hard work in the “weight room, out on the football field doing conditioning, at practices, and WSU Team Camp.” Saying “It has made it a lot of fun coaching them knowing they will always give 100% effort.”
She also shared that “We were able to create some good memories this summer at WSU Team Camp. The girls went out and competed in each game we played.” Similarly to the competition that led to “One of the team’s best moments from last season which was winning league and going to State.”
According to Hiebert “I have a lot of girls throughout our volleyball program that are involved in our ECA Program at Northwest (Early College Academy). Three of those girls being Nina Mitchell, Madison Godwin, and Reese Johnson.” These girls are among the members of this years team who’s goal “will always be to win league and make it to state.”
