Wichita South’s Kiara Hollum shared with VYPE in a recent interview that “my personal goals for this year are to make it my biggest year yet and get a lot of scholarships and choices for college since it’s my senior year and to also make great grades by achieving an 4.0 GPA.”
On her way there she is continuing with her participation in AVID and the National Honor Society as well as her community service works alongside her AVID cohorts at The Paper Wheels.
Hollum told VYPE “my favorite part of being on the volleyball team is that they actually feel like family and my coach Amy Lanski feels like a mother figure to me and the team makes me feel at home.” Going on to recall that her “favorite athletic memory is when me and my volleyball team were winning against some very competitive teams and my spanks were backwards and inside out and I played the whole tournament like that – it was really funny.”
Where she has the chance to step off the court Hollum dreams of going to Hawaii and taking her best friends as well as saving up for college next year.
